Real estate portals typically monetize by selling your phone number to brokers, telemarketers, and builders the second you click a listing. OwnProperty rejects this model. We never sell, rent, monetize, or distribute your personal data.
1. Information We Collect & Purpose Specification
In strict accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), we practice rigorous data minimization. We only collect personal data required to fulfill our verification service:
- Contact Credentials: Mobile number and email address provided during authentication or checkout, utilized solely to transmit verification reports, transaction receipts, and security OTPs.
- Transaction Records: Payment transaction reference IDs processed securely via Cashfree Payments. We do not store credit/debit card numbers or UPI MPINs.
- Usage Telemetry: Anonymized interaction logs (search queries, filter clicks) used to detect dead-end searches and optimize system speed.
2. Lawful Basis & Explicit Consent
By signing in via one-time verification code (OTP) or purchasing a report, you grant explicit consent for OwnProperty Intelligence Private Limited to process your specified contact details solely for account authentication, report delivery, and statutory tax compliance.
3. Data Retention & Security Standards
Personal data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and at rest using AES-256 standard encryption. Account session cookies are scoped strictly to ownproperty.in with SameSite=Lax and HttpOnly security flags.
